The Inhabitants

The inhabitants of this great Crow Nation- are many. For one, the Elflings are immortal... until they choose to enter a new experience and take on a human form. Once they become human there is the certainty of immortality and their spirit energy lives on - just in this tiny human form and in another realm and dimension of time.

Elflings are a species of creature that typically have pointed ears, big eyes, and their heads are big compared to the size of their bodies. Then there are subraces that differ ever so slightly. Some have pale indigo skin. Some others have pale sage skin. And others vary between a pinkish hue and something we call blush. Though all are immortal, some have definitely lived longer than others. You can tell by how childlike they are. The young ones are still learning the magic ways. The experienced ones know the spells. And of course, as mentioned above - some have chosen to leave the Elfling existence to try a human experience. Just like people, some Elflings are taller, some smaller, some fatter, some thin. Some with green eyes, pink eyes, blue eyes, and so on. Some ears point downward, some upward. Some have small noses, others have pointed noses. Some have tight curly hair, some have no hair, and everything in between.

Then there are subspecies of Elflings. There are Terra-Elflings - they live mostly on land. They have two legs to move them around. Whereas Kailea-Elflings live mostly in or under the water. They can also come up to Terra but they don't have legs to move them around. Unless it's a "Selkie." This rare Elfling can change forms - from a seal-like creature under water, and then it can shed its skin and has legs to walk above on Terra. The third subspecies that mainly live in Crow Nation are Nalani-Elflings. They live up above the clouds. Though some have legs to move around, they don't necesarily have wings to fly, but they can float. It's something to do with their nature. Often we call them "sky-elves" and they just feel most at peace in the atmosphere away from the Terra. If the Terra has high mountains that reach way up high into the atmoshphere, then they will walk around up there.

Another inhabitant of Crow Nation are Paddes... they are small. Smaller than the Elflings. You could say they are kept as pets by some Elflings. And their name suggests they are Elflings best companions. Paddes comes from one of the ancient languages and is derrived from the word paddestoelen. The Paddes are a hybrid creature resembling domed shape caps on a stalk with gills on the underside of their caps. One of the ancient languages called them "mushrooms." They come in many different varieties. But in Crow Nation this hybrid creature resembles a lively pet. They have their own unique personalities. The thing that makes them a pet is their extreme loyalties to the Elflings.

There are usually a few guru monk type spirit creatures that can take on different forms. In Crow Nation, the one that lives and works with the Elflings as a guide has taken the form of a bear crossed with a reindeer. It's a "Reinbear". It acts as a protector to the Nation's inhabitants. Though the Nation is a peaceful paradise, knowing no war... there is still the matter of impish shenanigans and Elfling mischief to be had.

Allehorns are another creature that reside here. They are four legged creatures with one "unicorn" or two horns. Some resemble pigs, others look like ponies, still others look more like sheep. Some have wings and may or may not fly.  Whether the wings resemble some kind of power is not yet known. One thing is for sure, they are strong. They can carrry an Elfling to the top of the mountains. Some Elflings use the allehorn has a companion pet to carry goods to the market.

Flutters and Zeelings make up tiny creatures that swarm among society. The Flutters can be butterflies, lady bugs, birds, bees, etc. The Zeelings are fish, crabs, shrimp, and all the little things that live under water.

Sometimes when the Elflings chose to take on another form they enter another dimension and become ChibiBabyBoos or Cibibi's for short. They are super cute doll sized humans. Eternal babies, if you will.

The setting...

Kyembra is a world unseen. Kyembra exists but in the imagination of the creator. Kyembra is magical, full of wonder and beauty, light and truth, and creatures exist that are playful and doll-like - and in our world we describe them as fairy tale creatures: Gnomes, elves, fairies, unicorns, merfolk. They live in the skies above, the water beneath, and on land.

In this world, there are many kingdoms and realms. I will focus on one kingdom. The kingdom of Crow. We know the crow from our world. It's a black bird. It flies in a pack. Spiritually, it can represent transformation and an eerily watchfulness. Crows are known to be very intelligent. They learn from us. Copy us. Some befriend them. The crow will bring them treasures.

In Kyembra, the Kingdom of Crow is ever watching over its citizens in every realm. But who represents the Kingdom. Who are these keepers of peace and unity? How do they bring treasures to their citizens?

There are three realms of Crow. One lies beneath the waters and we call that Kailea. Kailea comes from one of the ancient languages - and it means "sea of joy."

The second realm floats high above the clouds and we call that Nalani. It also comes from the ancients and it means "serenity of the skies."

The third realm is Terra meaning "of the earth."

Within this Kingdom of Crow, there is a society of creatures living peacefully together. There are a good many creatures living here.  They live in each of the realms and interact with each other quite a bit.

Now if we look at the map, there are many mountains. They rise high above the seas. In the place where the citizens dwell next to the place where the mountains meet the sea, we call that place Siembra. Siembra has many smaller waters flowing from the mountains to the sea. It is very green.  A variety of beautiful flowers grow here. It all grows wild. The flowers produce fruits. Some of the citizens gather the fruits. It is manna. They believe their creator organized this place so perfectly for them. The believers among them call it paradise because it's not too hot and it's not too cold. It's not too wet, or too humid, or too dry. It's perfection. There are many moons in the sky to give it light in the night. And one big sun to give it light in the day.

Now further from Siembra within the Terra Realm there is an area that has meadows, some trees, and where there are three tiny streams near each other. And there are three bridges, one for each stream. We call this area "de drie bruggen." It's from one of the ancient languages meaning three bridges. And there are three roads that converge here - one comes from Siembra so we call it Siembra-Way, and another road that goes further into the land is called Agave-Way. If you follow that road out of town - it goes all the way towards the wilderness. It is dry and has lots of rocks and red terra. It's as hot as an oven. It is otherworldly looking - like Mars. And it's what us mortals call a desert.  The third road that converges on this place is called Piko-Way. If you follow the route to Piko, - you will become tired from climbing up, up and up... and eventually be high up in the mountain tops, above the clouds even. You will be in the area where the Terra Realm meets the Nalani Realm.

So, in this place, with "de drie bruggen" and the three roads that converge into a triangle- is the tiny village of Dakoda. You could call it a hamlet - it's so small, if you blink, you might miss it.

In Dakoda resides some of the inhabitants of this place. The creatures spend a lot of their time in the "driehoek" - what the ancients call the triangle or the place where the three roads meet. Within the "driehoek" - on one corner is an ancient relic. It stands in a small chapel with a vestibule. If you go into the little chapel, to the left there is a place to light a candle, and say a prayer to the spirits. It's for those that believe that spirits watch over them. The spirits could be family. But the elfin creatures are immortal. If you go to the right, there is a clearing to sit and meditate. But straight ahead in the vestibule is a relic of ... what some claim to be the creator - or mother of us all. It is represented by a lovely pale face inside a hexagon shape, flowing from it appears to be honey and dancing bees.  It's made from snow-white stone.

The rest of the "driehoek" is just grass, trees, plants, and the "twirly whirly." The twirly whirly is like an ancient playground toy. It's quite fun actually. But if you're not careful, you could toss your cookies - which is an old saying for "puke." It's what some of the ancients called a "merry go round" or "roundabout" or "spinner".

But what some of the more innocent inhabitants don't know is that the twirly whirly can open a magic portal to another dimension. The dimensions of time!
